what do you mean?

Music is free now. It's free in one way or another from record labels, tonal harmony, from radio, the academy, conventional instruments, record stores, and from the corporate marketplace. Sure we still use all these things, but mostly out of habit.

This is the blog of composer César Alvarez.

see/hear me

My band The Lisps will be performing our original Civil War sci-fi musical FUTURITY, on May 9th, 16th, 22nd and 24th, 2009 at Joe's Pub in NYC. Go to: futuritythemusical.com for more info. Our up to date schedule is on our myspace.

if you wanna say hi please electronically mail me at cesar (aatt) cesaralvarez {dott} net...I don't post about bands/shows, so I'd prefer if you'd send me emails that pertain to: freedom, the future, sonic oddities, nanotechnology, musical cognition, cybernetic nonsense, etc. (No press releases please!)
